The uniformity of education is a myth, and tech talent is not the most important factor (egos of SV tech talent notwithstanding). SV exists because of a confluence of three factors: (a) tech venture capital availability, (b) tech talent, and (c) tech business contacts. It is the mix of these three that creates an environment favorable to establishing startup enterprise. It's just plain more advantageous to start up new (tech) companies in SV than elsewhere. Doesn't mean jobs have to stay there, or that this condition is permanent. John
