John, I don't think your points are subtle, and really, to claim that RTP, Windsor Ontario, Ottawa and Israel are technical enclaves that are *superior* to SV is really out there ("superior to your average talent pool from SV"-LOL). Its absurd. You reached so far on this issue, that you had to have a point.... what was it then?

And as you know I don't feel that indian outsourcing is any kind of a threat to SV except in the short term, because management was sold a bill of goods that isn't being delivered. If you had ever actually tried to *use* an indian software firm to produce top quality production software you'd know that. Or if you've ever read anything about software quality from some journal. Or if you ever KNEW anyone who worked in software at a management level. I mean anyone.

BTW Nortel Networks is in Canada... they outsourced their entire IT to india... shouldn't they be *kicking Cisco's ass* by now? I mean since they are located in such a superior region for technology.
