Texas Pacific Land Trust. The Company's principal activity is to manage, sell and lease land, retain oil and gas royalties and also has temporary cash investments. As of 31st December 2002, the Company owns the surface estate in approximately 1,012,585 acres of land located in 21 counties, 1/128 nonparticipating perpetual oil and gas royalty interest under 85,414 acres of land and 1/16 nonparticipating perpetual oil and gas royalty interest under 386,988 acres of land. The Company also owns grazing leases of approximately 1,005,878 acres of trust's land. The property of the Company is located in the Western part of Texas. Oil and gas royalties, 41% of 2002 revenues; Land sales accounted for 33%; Interest income, 11%; Easements and sundry income, 10% and Grazing lease rentals, 5%. |
