Boy is that the truth regardless of which type of change one espouses. The US tax code is perhaps the greatest source of control our government has over its citizens. Different factions have different ideas on how to exercise that control, but all segments want the control in some fashion.

This discussion could become very academic very quickly. Interesting topic though.
