OT - RE: "AD Have you suspended activities now that AMAT is in a ST downtrend? Maybe it's just too easy for you when the trend is finally going your way. <g> " Not exactly Sam. I'm still here, and I've got a pretty good story ta tell 'bout this past week. The night before AMAT's report, my best friend in da world (besides my lady of course!) and I were sippin' da really good stuff, swappin' war stories and brainstormin' a few ST tradin' scenarios. For the next mornin' we combined our resources ta see if we couldn't have a little fun (more on that in minute). The day was pretty much a bust, but we managed to figure out a way to work together effectively. The fun began as we set up overnight dark-side positions at the close. The next day we rocked! We accumulated significant insurance gains and so we kept goin'! By the end of the week we had booked a succession of serious wins, the accumulated profits were huge and we continued to extend the action puttin' large weekend plays in place! It had already been a pretty amazin' run and we probably should have quit, but we were so psyched that we decided to spend the weekend collaboratin' in preparation for Monday. That turned out to be a mistake as the ladies had had about enough if ya know what I mean. Yesterday continued to be great! and so we kept goin'... but similar to our first day, today was pretty much a bust. The party finally ended earlier this evenin' when the gals got together with a joint communique complete with threats and ultimatums. So, it became time to ta give the joint venture a rest. Now here's the kicker: When I said earlier that we "combined our resources" what I didn't mention was that we were tradin' exclusively in his account. Yep, you get the picture, I missed the entire run I had been waitin' for and my buddy grossed more in a week than I've made all year! I truly wish I could have posted all the action because it was truly impressive, but I didn't want to disrupt the process once we got goin'. It's kinda funny as I reflect on it now, I think I had more fun beatin' da game with my friend claimin' da prize than when I've done well on my own. FWIW, we'll have ta give some thought to whether we do this again - ya see, it's a bit scary when you're tradin' with someone else's funds, even if it is money that one can afford to lose. That type of fear drives a tendency to be over cautious. Luckily this time, we were early winners which allowed us ta play with house cash almost from the beginnin'. In any case, just havin' fun and makin' money! and there's always another play! (even if I am stuck fightin' da law again) <g> Ahhh, but check this out - our friends called and invited us to join them for some good times in London (on them!). Now how cool is that!
