I am also not concerned about all the privacy stuff myself. All the data and interconnect is there and is growing and if it is not managed then only the bad guys will us it.

For all the 1984 stuff, the credit card companies already know everything. It's just the public, the talking heads and the politians don't have clue about technology or information systems.
