That's how he always operates, never panic anybody <vbg>. As the worst central banker since John Law in 1720's France, it's mostly about covering his rear end. The important thing for us as energy investors is that he now has natural gas in his "dog ate the homework" repertoire, and we can look forward to future crisis management or buck passing (and hence press coverage) on it.

Clueless as usual I'm sure, mostly talking about "productivity miracles" stemming from credit excesses. I wish he would explain to us how Joe Sixpack borrowing an extra $50k out of his house to buy Chinese goods, contributes to productivity? These Congressional hearings with Greenspan just get worse and worse. I'm good for only about ten minutes of it, before I have to go visit Mr. Porcelain.
