>>I'm all for people giving as much in taxes as they want to. Buffett could in fact donate $10 billion and fund the entire AIDS program in Africa. Why won't he<<

good question...

is it just me...or does it seem to you that the superwealthy like buffett have and inordinate concern about the taxation of the "little" rich .....as in only the "little" rich people pay should pay taxes?

(at least in a meaningful way)

he says "people like me" when he talks about tax cuts (most especially the double dividend tax) benefitting the rich unfairly....

who is he trying to kid?

we used to call the "rich" the upper middle class, making a real distinction as to the difference between the truly wealthy , who could never lift a finger the rest of their days and live in total saddam-like <g> luxury.... should they choose, and the working class "wealthy"....people who absolutely must continue to work and save as they approach their retirements.
