Your hypothetical is just that. To posit that Freedom has led to a "regime of racial marginalization and domination persisting in this country," is far fetched. Even if I accept the challenge and answer as if this had come to pass, the answer would have no bearing upon whether I'm supporting one good, either the public or the private, over the other in actual reality; I'm not, by any stretch of the imagination, and your declaration that an answer in the negative concerning the use of intervention to correct your hypothetical, would have to imply the choice of the private good over the public good, is not coherent. When you ask the reader to accept the notion that these two goods are necessarily opposed to each other, you are asking too much. Your hypothetical isn't reality, and I don't feel I can possibly support one over the other in any event. I'm supporting freedom, which I am confident naturally supports both.

You appear to suggest, imply, and believe that government interventions can provide a framework for spontaneous good, and perhaps would lead spontaneously to racial integration where Freedom would not. I think that amounts to severe wishful thinking.

The civil rights movement was destined to have due effect with reasonable people, and freedom allowed the message to be heard. If we stomp on the invisible hand, all too significant unexpected negative consequences will invariably arise.

Don't mess with Freedom, I always say.

Freedom Works best(no utopia in this),
