No, I'm not stupid, but I'm also a programmer, not an expert researcher. I didn't know anything about NBMX until shortly before I quit. And why do you say I was fired when you also know full well that I quit and why I quit?
At the time, all I really knew how to do was a Google search. Found nothing. Once I had the NBMX ticker, which I think was accidentally disclosed to me in a phone conversation, then I finally had something to work with, but this was long after I was hired. I couldn't run a Perl script across the whole site. But I was able to run one against the appropriate thread and in a couple of days it fed me the posts in which his name was mentioned.
I've never used 10kwizard to my knowledge.
Before accepting the position, though, I did ask A@P if he knew anything about the guy that would be relevant to my decision-making process. I also asked a couple of other people, but I knew A@P was the best digger around, so he was definitely one I asked.
His answer was to avoid the guy but he never would say why. In retrospect, it would've been wise to heed his advice in the matter, but at the time, since he wouldn't give me any details or even hints, and he wanted me to take over the message board site he had, I dismissed his advice because I wasn't going to make a job decision based only on "don't do it" with no supporting reasons.
Anyway, once I really saw and understood who I was in bed with, I was outta there. He's a non-issue now as he has nothing to do with iHub. |
