Alarms are a nusiance to everyone. Much of the time, the person who owns the car with an alarm going off doesn't even recognize it's HIS car, so the alarm keeps going. I live in a densely populated area, and I've heard alarms sounding for 30 min. or more before someone turns them off. LoJack is the way to go (or any other "silent" system such as a Kill Switch). LoJack has been good here in So. Calif. because it also works across the border. In fact, one stolen car equipped with LoJack was found INSIDE a Mexican house -- in the living room, where it was being "hidden".
