Do you know if a PAS phone can be used anywhere within the Bejing area or just within the area (km or so) of one's local base station?

Bejing is a huge low rise city which spreads ten's of miles is all directions. I'd expect most folks (physical business/home sites excepted) would want a phone that they could carry throughout the city.

It's Reliance's big circles which challange the GSM crowd. Without such, PAS is a less threatening system.
