jrhana, blast from the past...

Boy back in 2000 SSRI was one you could have bought and closed down the computer and forgotten about asking what the price of Silver was today. That NNS referenced in the post did go substantially higher, bought out by GD.

on the technical damage on the HUI....two indicators is all I can show you....the DMI and the Ultimate....hooks in on the DMI and the Ultimate is headed south with a most divergent pattern to price....Take the chart and substitute the Dollar and see somewhat the reverse...

See also Jay Gallemore work on the CRB and GOLD and Silver....Rolling or flattening trend indicators...falling momentum on Gold....At this point in the proceeding we deny this has significance, relying more on the pluses of recent days to color our view.....in a few days we'll see. $363 minimum downside for GOLD, more likely $358 and mid to lower 130s for the HUI...Depending on your strategy and tolerance for pain and ability to maintain a buying attitude and capital when things get washed out some, perhaps it all doesn't matter.... Thinking Valutrader has it about right, reduced exposure is warranted. But we'll see....
