I have sold off most of the rest of my stocks,
mostly biotechs, despite a continuing run up
in the sector...probably due to the run up
in DNA (up from the high 30's and still climbing
slowly just under $60--doesn't that seem nutty?).

BBH May 22 113.40 +3.60
^BTK May 22 422.27 +16.73

For the time being, I'm keeping these pets--
trivial speculations in Tgen, GNSC, and CPHAF.pk...
hardly seem worth the commission to sell, and
together are worth less than one percent of my
worth. I got rid of all my wife's lynx and rigl,
her account is a Roth, and I have to be more
careful in it. She has a decent grubstake in there,
and if I manage it with just occasional surefire
trades (ha!) maybe I can do more good than harm
in there from now on.

So far, everything that the US government is doing,
from the war in Iraq, to the recent tax cut package
for the rich, to Greenspan's rambling remarks and
Snow's senile ravings--all these things make me
think that the market could go down over the next
year or so. And then there is SARS, we may very
well have a little scare here in the US.

And more importantly, damned if I can tell
a good stock from a bad one! I've been fooled
so many times over the last few years, genxy,
tgen, cnsi, probably rigl too--well, kinda lost
my appetite for it for the time being. Will
be interesting to see if I can get behind any
new biotechs in the next couple of years, maybe
take a stab at another local company if south
Lake Union attracts some interesting tenants.

Taking off from work most of August through next
fall. Our second daughter will be born this summer.
Still shopping for a digital camera with which to
update the website, ha! I love shopping, fun to drag
purchases out for a long time. For the time being,
I really should just get a scanner to digitize my
negatives.
