whether you realize it or not. A three dollar{lately at best} stock that gives dividends is wasting assets.
while it may draw thousands of new investors into the stock, proper use of the money would be to buy/build synergistic businesses that will help them EARN money.
a dividend would be a last ditch effort to get listed.
i don't know what voting rights if any are needed to get listed- i do know this. the corporate structure at present was formed to keep raiders out, while semi-hiding the proprietary technology and keeping it for dr d.
a dividend is foolish. maybe because you and a few others would like to get some return for you risk- that really doesn't mater to the company.a better way for them to increase value would be to buy back shares.
create a demand. but since the vote would not be radically if at all changed- it makes no sense to dr d to do this, therefore we have a $3 stock,
momentum is neccessary. it may come if the money is spent wisely. a dividend has to be accounted and sent and Stamped.{you know a professional mailer}
this would be wasteful. what are you going to get 2.5cents p/sh per qtr?
100 share holders then get $2.50 and it costs them a buck to account and mail it.
forget it.
