They don't have to buy GM seed
But that's among the problems... they may not have any choice. We're talking 3rd World farmers, who don't have many suppliers to choose from (and also have very little money - maybe only subsistence levels).
Or notice the article that mentioned the African farmers - who get the seed as 'aid'... it's not very good aid if they can't then grow more, it's perpetuating their dependency. It's doubly bad if the seed is sterile, so can't be used in following years.
The company that patented Basmati (or tried to - don't recall if it succeeded) was then commencing legal action, against seed suppliers, to force them to pay it royalties if they wanted to grow its goods... India in particular is livid that naturally-occurring products are being 'patented' by us (the West) and we then require payment - and, worse, attempt to deny them the rights to use their own produce: with GM crops, there's even less recourse since the product clearly is artificial.

As for the insults, I observed that you either start or finish nearly every post with a gratuitous sneer and assumed it must be your requirement for posting. I'm sorry if I'm so much less practiced than you, but I'm happy that there's no need to stoop to your level.
