Do techs that refuse to offer a dividend or even account for stock options that they issue make themselves less attractive?

Hmmm....yes and no. Yes IMO they become less attractive to some investors (probably long term buy and hold investors), but no...since some are more interested in trading and investing in what they consider growth stocks.

But...IMO this new tax bill might encourage some tech companies who do not currently pay a dividend, to consider a dividend. (Didn't EBAY say that they might consider a dividend if the tax bill was passed?)
