It's hypocrisy to try to put standards in place without providing the wherewithal to improve schools--smaller class size being the number one variable.

Hire more teachers and double their salary! The annual cry of the Teacher's Unions. And it is a proven failure. The is no correlation between more money, class size, and success. This has been proved in Kansas City, New York, and DC. It is a structural failure, John.

But, we could go at this forever and never convince the other. So we will keep arguing it, and watch what happens. I see nothing good coming for the kids. I do see that the States will fail. But the interesting part is that not all will fail. We will see who succeeds, and argue about why.
