Perhaps you'll like the Finnish Defense Forces website better.

Before the Soviets attacked, Finland allowed the Germans transit across Finland to attack the Soviet Union.

Co-operation with Germany started in early autumn 1940: German troops were allowed transit through Finland and Finland was given permission to buy weapons.
The Germans were planning a part for Finland in Operation Barbarossa. As a result of the negotiations, German troops, warships and aircraft arrived in Finland in early June 1941.
When Operation Barbarossa started on June 22, 1941, German troops attacked the Soviet Union also via Finland. The Red Army responded by bombing Finnish airfields and population centres on June 25.

Notice the date above - German troops attacked the Soviet Union from Finland on June 22. Soviets retaliated by bombing Finland June 25. Since the Soviets had their hands full with Germany, its doubtful they'd have gone to war with Finland absent German attacks from Finnish territory.

When Finland started its attack on the Soviet Union, the aim was not only to recapture lost areas but also to eliminate attack bases behind the old border. In early September the Finns reached the old border on the Karelian Isthmus and crossed it.
