Ray, King George II, the Iraqi Viceroy and sundry sidekicks are obviously not acting for USA companies. They had a perfectly good opportunity to do the decent thing and provide Iraqis with the most up to date phragmented photon cyberphone technology available at the lowest cost, most suitable for covering the wide open spaces as well.

What did they do? Decided on GSM instead of QUALCOMM designed CDMA2000. That's criminal negligence. Perhaps somebody was receiving a backhander, brown envelope or quid pro quo or some other nefarious payment. But it certainly wasn't a reward to QUALCOMM or Brent Scowcroft [on the board of QUALCOMM] who is a good friend of King George I and was the one who brought Condoleezza Rice into the the big time. QUALCOMM has also been a great contributor to USA public life and Irwin Jacobs has been a generous donor to UCSD and the San Diego symphony orchestra among other things. It's a slap in the face to Dr J.

With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Also, NZ has been slapped around and relegated to no free trade agreements because Helen Clark dared to oppose the USA, British and Oz invasion of Iraq. Of course that's just an excuse and the USA had no intention of offering a free trade deal to NZ in any event.

I guess we'll just have to sell to China and other people. That's okay by me. The USA will no doubt be glad to be rid of us. But I wonder if the bully won't get a bit lonely after a while. Refusing to buy the best products isn't a good idea.
