Sorry, you misread me.

Finland was an ally of Germany during WWII just like the Finnish Defense Force website says. And, like Italy, an ineffective and worthless ally. The Finns tried to cut the Murmansk rail line which could have changed the result of the war but failed. Finland usually is given high marks for defending itself against the Soviet Union during the winter war. But that view ignores the fact they lost a majority of their national territory forever.
