They're clearly an unfriendly nation not an ally. I agree, but it's amazing how fast the French and Germans changed their tune once the bombs started falling. Chirac didn't waste much time in letting us use French air space. Even the loathsome Joschka Fischer wished us quick success. What a contrast to their overheated rhetoric just a few days earlier. I had been looking forward to the much talked about US/EU confrontation. Oh well, guess we'll have to wait on that...
