Thanks, TC. Will check for the hotfix. Actually hope it's there as that will hopefully resolve the problem. Don't recall seeing a restore disk, but will carefully look through the pile of disks and CDs that came with the computer. Is that a better route than installing from a retail WIN XP Pro disk? How do I get Compaq's proprietary drivers, etc. installed if I go with the retail WIN XP Pro? Thanks again.
