Grant as always is right but does not have a global view. Wonder what he would write about Italy and Germany ..... or Spain or France.

The government and corporate burden there is higher than the US. Italy's government debt is higher than the country GDP .... Germany is drowning in debt and the state is going to borrow additional EUR 40 billion this year or over 3% of GDP ..... health insurance there are on verge of collapse as are many banks loaded with nonperforming corporate debt.

IMHO the recent rise in the EUR is exactly targeted to lighten that debt burden by Non - EZ entities buying the EZ junk to keep the system afloat until and when the EZ economy will recover.

Wild moves in FX markets ahead -- in the Western World paper money viability is now even more questionable
