The New Democrat Network has been warning for more than a year that the party needs to do more to reach out to Latinos, particularly those who are recent immigrants and get their news from Spanish-language outlets.

"Clearly the battle for the Hispanic airwaves is very critical for determining how well the two parties are doing with their Hispanic vote," said Simon Rosenberg, NDN's president.

Promoting the regulation of speech is not going to go over well with too many people. If they are so worried about it, they'd better come up with a method of getting their message out. Conservatives have figured out that on-the-air broadcasting is a very efficient way to do that.
