Do you think SMTL is positioned for a turnaround, and if so when and how will it come (in your opinion)? I think if the downturn doesn't last more than another 4 quarters, SMTL should be positioned well enough for investors (including me) to see fruit. If, on the other hand, the cycle churns for 6 another quarters, for example, and doesn't really rebound, I am not as comfortable making such a conclusion given their cash position. I think we shall know considerably more come this fall. With the first part of the war in Iraq complete, President Bush has to pur job creation & economic rebound his top priority, else my instincts say he will join his Dad as a one term president. I guess the short answer is "stay tuned."
