Remember, we don't like uncertainty. Of course there is free will. Because God does not exist.
That was an offhand remark, meant as sarcasm actually, in an unrelated conversation. One would assume you would be able to understand the inherent humour, at least by looking at the smiley that immediately came after that remark.
Let's look at the post in context, and in its entirety:
Win-Lose Draw: i see it coming: any moment now this is going to turn into a debate of the existence of free will... Message 18936447
zonder, in response: Not while I'm around. Rest assured :-) Remember, we don't like uncertainty. Of course there is free will. Because God does not exist. *Runs very fast* -g-

My condolences, if that exchange suggests to you that the latter person is an atheist.
As for the rest of your post, I don't care.
derived that impression of your views from you very own words as a aherent of science
I don't know what an "adherent of science" is, except that it sounds like you think "science" is a religion of sorts, something to believe in, something to adhere to. Whatever.
For your information, I am not an atheist, and I find atheism to be as much of a dogma as belief in God, since there is no proof that He does not exist, either.
Not that I understand why you are so curious about what I think on the subject. Especially on this thread. I am done talking about this with you. You can have the last word. |
