DAK, your post regarding Germany GDP at 0.7% was an annualized number not a quarterly number, released by their government on hopes ....

German GDP dropped 0.2% last quarter or annualized at around negative (-0.9%) rate clear recession IMHO anticipated for some time.

But regardless of EZ economic woes the monkeys are pushing the EUR higher.

About 2 years ago I bought EUR's in the 0.84 to 0.86 range when every monkey predicted the EUR to slide to 0.7 to the USD.

I am now fully hedged as I anticipate a steep reversal.

Would be much more optimistic on the EUR if the EZ political picture would be different.

China and India hold the keys to the world economies IMHO they should devalue their currencies and Japan will stop fighting in depressing their currency v. the EUR and USD.

To keep the Yen below 115 to the USD Japan is buying EUR's
