That's good -- I think.

Now let's get some revitalization of boards here. I'm invested in BSTE, a biotech, which has dropped about $10 in the past several days. The Yahoo board for BSTE is very active. Yet the SI board has only 2 postings since September, 2000. Where will I go to read postings (even though the quality of SI postings generally far overshadows Yahoo's)?

One suggestion might be to cross-post messages from other threads that specifically reference BSTE (a reply to which would post on the initial thread also). That might somewhat remedy the 'message starvation' problem.

Further, what motivates me to post my thoughts when I see that no one has posted a word in the last six months.

Also, if not done already, the Subject Marks table might sequence threads by order of Latest Posting or of most/least new postings unread.

Additionally, I'd like to see the number of 'subject mark' subscribers a thread has. The wider reach a thread has, the more likely it is that I (or anyone else) will invest time into composing and posting a message.

SI in the past was an excellent board. Yet I admit that even I now visit only a few times a month because of the paucity of new posting activity on most of the stocks that I follow closely.
