FT article - "The rift turns nasty: the plot that split old and new Europe asunder"

Much as I would love to, I cannot post this full-page article that appeared in today's Financial Times, but it is very much worth the read. Especially for those of us who believe "new" Europe just decided to support the US.

Here is the first line below the title:

If transatlantic differences over the need for war in Iraq were exacerbated at first by misunderstandings and personal friction, the subsequent deterioration was deliberate - and orchestrated with Washington's knowledge.

It starts on the first page, and takes up all of page 11.
