Hi Frank,

>>Digging Out Of The Hole: Re-Initializing Telecom<<

A new Operating Model for Telecom.

1. Create an organization to think about demand stimulation.
limp

2. Make certain that this team is truly interdisciplinary.
not just your favorites

3. Think about customer needs on an unconstrained basis.
that is your customer leaning on the shovel at the Boston Tunnel dig ;-) Think about the 1200 minutes of use a month in Israel

4. Think on a systems basis.
Think on an Operating Model basis

5. Work backwards to develop supply-side needs.
We know people will talk 1200 minutes a month, so what do we need to supply?

6. Consider supply-side element availability/timing.
when to supply the elements that encourage such use?

7. Take steps to accelerate supply-side element availability.
more towers?

8. Think more creatively about business case risk assessment.
lame, the CFO is not amused

Conclusion
We have faith in the long-term need for telecom services and equipment, but believe that the industry has spent too little time thinking about demand stimulation.

except T-Mobile ;-)
