Forestry is best lived as a lifestyle, imho .... an old farmer's saying goes, there is no fertiliser like the footsteps of the owner .... i've seen absentee owners do well [the ones for whom i've contracted, especially -g-], but many don't, beyond such success or failure that they enjoy on speculation of land value .... but there is no better life than to have your own woods to work in, and live in
dmw.to - news out on Diamondworks, very significant news, the zambian oil contract renewed .... which seemed to be in question for a while .... 450,000 tonnes too this time, and they're negotiating a doubling of that, i forget how much is their gross margin per tonne but this is enough to grow their earnings for another year minimum [the thing has a p/e of about 3 at current shareprice] .... other things in the pipeline too, like an actual pipeline to Malawi, dmw has been selected to get one financed, and they hired back Rob Rainey from Southernera to score the bags of cash ..... not meaning to belabour the point, but i really think this puppy merits a good look .... especially compared to, ahem, anything to do with Rhodesia, until Ian Smith is back in power anyway -g-
Jay, what effect will the chinese liberalisation have on gold in early June? ... you have likely typed on this matter, but i haven't had time to keep up with the thread here, maybe you could point out relevant posts? ... tia ... cheers |
