I've changed my investing philosophy a bit. I got forced out of some stocks that went private and in that process took some rather big losses (not on paper). So now with these huge losses i have the write off for the next XX years.

So what I'm doing recently is investing in/out of ACG and MSFT. for the MSFT I typically hold for a day or so and just trade into the volume. when people panic sell, i buy. then usually a few hours later or the next day when people are frantically buying, i'm selling into the volume. So far the profit is minimal, but at least its going somewhere good. plus lately msft has had this pattern going on. And apparently because i've got this huge loss, the affect of short term gains doesn't really affect me. lol

i'm thinking of vacationing this summer at the Northern Queen Inn and taking a ride on the train....
