Hi Carl,

recently I submitted my 1942s unc penny to ANACS for official grading and got a shock when it came back. It came back as AU-58 whizzed net EF ##.

I was surprised. I bought it when I was a kid from a dealer who I thought was honest. I had saved up about all of my summer earnings to buy that penny. he had it in a special airtight container, etc.

I definitely overpaid for that coin. However I guess it can be used as a good learning point for people in the future. If you don't know whats good, slabs might be the way to go.
