The people (actually one person comes to mind) that got "nailed" ended up being entirely wrong about the overall direction of the market even though they were right about selective stocks (RRI comes to mind). The bottom in the market and many individual stocks (ORCL and CSCO come to mind) that were discussed here occurred very close to the time that they were highly bearish and spreading doom and gloom on everyone in a very antagonistic manner. That isn't to say that I'm not wrong from time to time as well, but I don't leave every time someone argues against my perspective and I don't go out of my way to get in confrontations with people. I agree with your other comments. I don't disagree with your comment about the people that got nailed...was only adding to it.
