In excrept posted by Oz there is one line showing what I mean: 05/28/2003 16:00:20 4.67 99900 Best bid nasd. In reality there were much more of them throghout the entire day, but they were not always best bid so T&S won't reflect them all. They were all real, nothing like infamous bids used only to propel the movement (we call them NITBBs - No Intention to Buy Bids). Those were disappearing as soon as they would become higher bids, or when couple sells would hit them, while these GMST bids would eat everything, and often would get hit by size sellers several cents below the market, yet GMST would come for more. BTW, as I write this, he is bidding same size at 4.67
