Good work ! Infact I've seperately been worrying about how
big a target the analyst's number appears. My heart is hoping that
Seeq will do it - if so, it should well and truly wake the stock
up ! However, my head is telling me that it's unlikely they'll
make the numbers, and I think 4 or 5 cents is much more likely.

On the face of it, 5 cents wouldn't be too bad - i.e. it fits in
with a steady growth picture, which should be deserving of some
recognition. However, in the face of an analyst's estimate of 9 cents
it might be disappointing, and could drive the price down.

A consideration is that the network companies *seem* to have excess
inventory at the moment (it's what seems to have hit a few component
suppliers - like Microlinear (MLIN)). If this is true, then it's
difficult to see SEEQ having a good quarter.....

I guess the bottom line as far as I'm concerned is that anything
greater than 4 cents will do - i.e. I'll be happy that SEEQ is
undergoing a sustained recovery, which as a long termer is all I'm
interested in. Any negative market reaction in the mean time could
just be another buying opportunity.

Bottom line is that I think you could be right, in which case, this
quarter could be another for the shorters.......
