Pulse Develops the Smallest Shielded Power Chip Inductors for Mobile Electronics
Tuesday May 27, 8:06 am ET
The PG0048 series has the industry's most compact footprint, 2.97mm x 2.54mm, with a maximum height of only 1.8mm
biz.yahoo.com

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 27, 2003-- Pulse, a Technitrol (NYSE:TNL) Company, announced the introduction of the PG0048 series of shielded power chip inductors.
With an extremely small 2.97mm x 2.54mm footprint and 1.8mm maximum height, the inductors are designed specifically for portable electronic devices that have low profiles and limited board space. End-user applications include: pagers, notebook computers, personal data assistants (PDAs), mobile phones, remote controls and other mobile devices.

Demand for low-profile, small-footprint, pick-and-place, surface-mount (SMT) inductors with low power consumption is growing as designers of handheld electronics, telecommunication products and notebook computers reduce circuit board size and contain production costs. The PG0048 series offers a flat-top package compatible with pick-and-place manufacturing processes.
