Tiger pussy blames Sr. Bush for the continuation of Saddam but don't I recollect that the dems were generally opposed to the liberation of Kuwait and strongly against extending it to Iraq? So was the UN and the coilition.

Yep.. But they also fail to mention that Bush was HEAVILY pressured by the other Arab coalition members (and the French), as well as the UN, not to carry the battle to Baghdad. And since Bush Sr. had only the UN mandate to restore international stability to the region (and the overthrow of Saddam was not seen as necessary at the time to accomplish that), he backed off..

But the UN(SC) doesn't want to accept the blame for the 12 years of deception, oppression, and genocide that resulted from leaving Saddam in place..

Just like they didn't want to accept the blame for the tremendous deception which was uncovered in 1995 regarding Saddam's continuing WMD program...

And it was people like TP, and his ilk, who chose not to just passively stand by, but actively opposed doing what Bush Jr. eventually had the balls to do...

I wonder how they feel about what's transpiring in the Congo? The UN is getting ready to send forces into the country to prop up another dictator.

I think they only doing it so France can continue to have access to the Congo's Gold and Diamonds..
