You can find many different viewpoints in complex situations. For example, there is a portion of the population, mainly made up of pensioners and old apparatchiks, that is nostalgic for Stalin. It is only about 10 % of the Russian population. In Israel, there are anti- Zionist Jews, some from among the fundamentalist Orthodox, who think that establishing Israel without the Messiah was sacriligious, and some among the Left who eschew all nationalism. Together, they make up perhaps 10 % of the population. Anecdotal accounts of the reactions during a limited period of time of a small group that has suffered during the changes in Iraq is hardly indicative of the experience of the bulk of the population........
