Mine are mostly finches. When I started I named the first spring pair that showed up "Farney" and "Wetty." They reminded me of Barney and Betty from the Flintstones. Farney started out with somw red spring plumage and singing every morning. Pretty soon they were showing up together and Wetty was doing the twitchy thing the females do just before nesting on some eggs. So after a couple-o-years of full time feeding, I get a flock every morning on my porch and I fanticize that they are decendants of Farney and Wetty. I have my own pepper spray recipe that keeps an evil squirrel out of their stuff and in general I enjoy their presence a great deal. I feel guilty seeing them come to their old spot on the porch flitting around looking for food.
