I mean in the short term (next few years), bb, AG is right that there are so many dollars and so much US treasury debt held abroad that there is limited ability to move it. Sure it can go down in value, but against what -- all the other debt out there?? ... gold, I hope, or something else that I own, but I don't know

I don't want to talk bearish about the prospects of the country as a whole -- I live here.
