<late 2001 news was being ignored all over the place>

Great news during that period tended to be ignored temporarily giving the alert free looks and a chance to enter. There were also regular buyouts that cleared out stale money profitably allowing it to flow into other plays. It was truly a wonderful period.

This junior market unfortunately seems to be a much different animal (much more unhealthy) than a year or two ago. It simply fails to function price wise, and incredibly even at $370 POG there is a logjam on buyouts. Even when deals actually occur we see bizarre reactions (for two months, witness Moydow).

The little pop in IMR will be interesting to watch. I would key on the the fact that they did some private placements at lower prices that will free trade in a few months. Also when is the last time these guys actually announced a drill hole result? Mostly they just promote new properties. Be cautious of the PP underwriter as well. Beware of a pump and dump.
