I remember the British Soldier who was reported to have survived being shot in his helmet by three bullets. It was a joke played by an enlisted man. I remember the movie Sergeant York with Gary Copper where they show the passing of his story thru a column of marching soldiers.

I know how stupid news folks are and competing to get their story out and first. Dowd misquote lies thru her teeth and no-one says anything.
