I reject this POV. It assumes cash payouts in the form of dividends are favorable to mkt share gains. It penalizes growth companies.

It seems you are too caught up in the democratic class warfare rhetoric and uniquely silly valley view of economics to see the truth.

Bob, if you think that I am caught up in "democratic class warfare' you are really really out in the extreme. I am too much the capitalist to be concerned with class warfare. All I care about is business, my primary issue with a dividend tax cut is that it stunts growth, the kind of growth that would be created if you returned that money to the right people or companies.

Theres a bunch of guys like you in California, some of them post on that Bush thread here, they are the true blue republicans who refuse to admit that the republican far right churchgoing, all white, anti-choice, pro-gun agenda has alienated most of the women and non-whites in the state (most of the people). So what these guys do is they claim that women like me are after "their" money, making a false assumption that anybody who rejects the republican agenda has no money, or, less than them. Way off base. They are actually in a kind of denial.
