I figure leaving nature alone is the best policy as far as the health of the wild life population goes.

You should consider putting a beer feeder on your porch for your neighbour. You would make a friend for life and could enjoy watching him tripping over your flower pots and planters.

Well at least he is drinking bottled beer. The worst thing you Yanks have done is put beer in cans. It tastes awful and in some situations can be dangerous. Last year some Americans rented a float plane to go on a bear slaughtering expedition in northern Saskatchewan. They had three bags of gear and several dozen large cases of beer. The beer was not properly tied down and shifted on take-off causing the plane to crash in the trees.
