I'm one of the grandfather SI members. If I understand Bob correctly, the grandfather members will never have to pay fees for the same level of services they are receiving currently.

Of course I would love to have it all for free forever, I also understand that there is a business side to operating SI. In order for SI to survive, it must make a profit. If that means that premium services will require an extra charge for grandfather members, I have no problem with that. If I can keep the level of services I have now for life, that is a great deal--the type you don't run into very often. If the premium services are something I would use a lot, I will pay for them. If not, I can keep my basic service for free.

It sounds to me like Bob is trying to do the honorable thing, while, at the same time, keeping his business a going concern.
