I would post that message about cameras on the photo thread. I wonder if you will get more replies if you post it to me or to the moderator.

Anyway, any Sony camera uses FM-50 batteries. They are awesome for life. Red-eye reduction I believe is an advanced feature found only on very advanced cameras. However I am not an expert on features in general on other cameras. 3.2 meg images would be exceptional and printable to sizes as big as 20by15 inches. 2000x1500 at 100 dots per inch. The only Zoom that matters is optical as digital zoom is trivial to do in the computer after the shot is taken.

In general the speed of taking pic and pic is restricted by time it takes the camera to save the current image on the mem stick device. 3.2 meg should present no problems in any camera today. 1 or a few seconds between pic save ready.

The most effective redeye reduction is an external flash. red eye reduction is a feature where a preflash is fired that causes the iris in the eyes to close before the flash that exposes the images.
