its amazing how well the market is doing IN SPITE OF THE POOR LEADERSHIP we have in Washington

In my humble opinion, it is in part because of the current incoherent leadership that the market is moving upwards - they are pumping liquidity in rather impressive amounts, while keeping interest rates low and confusing people with contradictory, and at times nonsensical, statements like this:
- talking about printing money while pledging continuing allegiance to "strong dollar" policy
- telling people to fear deflation in a country with consistent 3-4% inflation every month for six months
- redefining "strong dollar" as a currency that is hard to counterfeit (fer gossake! -g-)

etc etc etc

So, awash with money and in the absence of a real alternative (real interest rates being negative), AND confused about what is going on in the economy, money is coming to the stock market...
