I belong to an email list which circulates relevant information about common holdings. Below follows an exchange that is very informative with regard to ERHC's CEO, the Bass family, and their potential to make things happen.

I want to thank Kimarie who granted permisssion for this information to be posted on SI.

Re: The Ft. Worth, Tx. Bass family.... Ever hear of ole time East Texas Oil Patch pioneer named Sid Richardson? Well ole Sid never married...never had any "begats" and his entire fortune was left to his sister and her sons... named Bass. That's where the original wealth came from. Ole Sid was a crony of ole Clint Murchison... whose one son, John Dabney, helped establish Vail, Colo...and the other son, Clint, Jr., started the Dallas Cowboys.

Also one of the Bass family divisions or subsidiaries financed Iomega during their lean times after the Bernuilli Box didn't quite catch on.

Also one of the Bass sons financed that solar place out near Tucson where those folks were supposed to live, grown their own food, etc. (cain't 'member name of that dang place).

The Bass Family is prominent in Texas and especially in Ft. Worth, where a Bass Hall is currently being built in downtown for the Ft. Worth Symphony in Sundance Square...also financed by Bass family.

....and one of their advisors was Richard Rainwater... who last year booted T.Boone Pickens out of Mesa Oil and took it over himself.

Yeah, I'd guess they are a reliable family. :-)
